Ok lets get real…If you purchased the tent this does not fit in it. Then you have 2 options for use of this rug. First, put it under the tent to help cut down on the noise and vibration of the product. Second, put it in front of the tent for additional catch for the litter. If you didn’t get it free with your box, then don’t buy it. You can get a litter catch or a rug to cut down on the noise for less money at the store. But by all means if you don’t need the tent and it comes with your box then use it.

This is our third…yes third…Litter Maid system. We bought them when they first went on the market.
The first two Litter Maid systems came with this carpet as part of the system. If you don’t have one of these, it’s likely your cat will track litter from the box. It’s an essential item.
On the Litter Maid system; it’s the plastic gears in the roller/scoop mechanism that wear out and if your use the wrong litter or if you fail to heed the instructions on filling the box, it’ll also wear out the gears. BUT…it’s a beautiful thing when it works as designed!

We got the matching litter box with this and returned the litter box but kept this. It totally keeps her litter contained. We arent stepping all over it. She hasnt pulled at the plastic bags we use inside her litter box, which is great. I think she comes out and pulls on this which is fine with me! Her regular litter is lasting longer than before because she isnt tearing big holes in the bag and its easier for us to scoop! I would recommend this to anyone who has a cat and wants something to put under their litter box to collect pieces of litter.

This mat is large enough to fit under the cat box and still have some left over for my kitty to step on his way out of the box. My only complaint would be that I wished that it came in different colors.
